Reporting a Concern About a Staff Member

At Elevate Wellbeing Group, we operate under the strict principle that "it could happen here." We recognise that any child can be vulnerable to abuse, and we take our duty of care with the utmost seriousness.

We demand the highest standards of professional conduct from our mentoring team. However, if you ever have a concern regarding the behavior of any Elevate Wellbeing Group staff member or Director towards a child, it is vital that you report it immediately.

How to Report:

Internal Escalation: You can report concerns directly to our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Ben Reynolds, via ben@elevatewellbeinggroup.co.uk.

External Escalation (LADO): If your concern involves the Director, or if you feel you need to speak to an independent statutory authority, you should contact the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). The LADO is responsible for managing allegations against adults who work with children.

Our Safeguarding Commitment

Safeguarding is at the absolute core of everything we do at Elevate Wellbeing Group. Because we operate out in the community and work with vulnerable young people, we maintain an uncompromising approach to child protection, safety, and professional boundaries.

Statutory Compliance

Our policies, procedures, and daily operations are strictly aligned with the latest statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and Working Together to Safeguard Children. We work seamlessly with Local Authorities, schools, and families to ensure a unified, transparent approach to student welfare.

Safer Recruitment

We practice rigorous Safer Recruitment. Every member of the Elevate Wellbeing Group team is required to undergo a strict vetting process before they begin any mentoring work. This includes an Enhanced DBS check (with Barred List information), comprehensive professional referencing, and a full work history review.

Training and Supervision

Our team is trained to identify and appropriately report any concerns regarding a young person’s welfare. Mentors receive ongoing, mandatory safeguarding training and participate in regular, structured supervision to ensure their practice remains safe, trauma-informed, and highly effective.

Dedicated Oversight

All safeguarding practices, reporting procedures, and risk assessments are directly managed and continuously reviewed by our internal Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Ben Reynolds.
